Who Are We?

Mane Mission is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to creating opportunities through education, skill development, and meaningful support—locally and around the world.

Founded by Kendall Koehler, Mane Mission was built on the belief that access to skill and education can reshape futures. Kendall’s background in both teaching and program development helped establish the organization’s approach to hands-on learning, community partnership, and long-term sustainability.

We believe that empowerment begins with access: access to knowledge, to tools, and to spaces where people can grow with confidence. Through vocational training, practical resources, and community-centered initiatives, Mane Mission works to create sustainable pathways that support dignity, purpose, and opportunity.

Our work spans from local programs that foster connection and support to international collaborations designed to bring education and professional development into communities with limited access.

At our core, Mane Mission exists to bridge gaps, remove barriers, and create meaningful change through the transformative power of skill and opportunity.

Founded with Purpose. Built from Experience.

Mane Mission was founded with a personal understanding of what it means to rebuild a life from the ground up. Founder Kendall Koehler experienced firsthand how learning a trade can restore independence, confidence, and stability. The beauty industry became the space where she rebuilt her life—and where she saw the profound impact that accessible vocational education can have when it is delivered with intention and care.

Her experience reflects a broader reality. According to the Institute for Women’s Policy Research, nearly half of individuals impacted by domestic abuse report that their education or career was disrupted, making access to skill-based training a critical factor in long-term economic security.

Kendall’s lived experience is paired with an academic background in political science and psychology, years of professional leadership in the beauty industry, nonprofit board governance within community health systems, and long-standing philanthropic work. Together, these experiences inform Mane Mission’s systems-based approach—one rooted in ethical leadership, professional boundaries, and sustainable program design.

Today, Mane Mission develops education, resources, and structured training programs that support dignity, choice, and long-term growth. What began as one person’s path to rebuilding has grown into an organization committed to creating opportunity responsibly—locally and globally—wherever it is needed.
